They say the mind is like water. When agitated, it becomes difficult to see. But if you allow it to settle, the answer becomes clear.
When the enemy agitates our minds, it is difficult to see God’s purpose in our lives. Being aware of our thoughts allows us to stay focused on His plans for us.
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.” (Romans 12: 2, New International Version)
The head directs the actions of the body. That’s why it is important to protect our thoughts (“Take the helmet of salvation…”) and fight the enemy with God’s Word (“… and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” Ephesians 6: 17, NIV).
Sometimes temptations will be strong (the temptation of Jesus, Matthew 4:1-11), but remember one very important thing about our God: He is not a God of confusion (1 Corinthians 14: 33).
As you embark on the cares of your day, or are reflecting on the end of your day, let Philippians 4: 6-7 assure you of the peace of Jesus Christ.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (New International Version)
Peace be with you all, Christ Family!
